United States European Command USEUCOM

United States European Command's Area of Responsibility (AOR) covers more than 13 million square miles and includes 83 countries and territories. This territory extends from the North Cape of Norway, through the waters of the Baltic and Mediterranean seas, most of Europe, parts of the Asia, to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. Several other countries and territories are considered to be part of the Command's Area of Interest (AOI). Responsibility for Asia is divided between USEUCOM and the US Central Command.

The headquarters of the United States European Command includes about 1,200 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and civilians, most of whom work at Patch Barracks, near Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany.
