Serbia Intelligence and Security Agencies
In summer 2002, the Serbian Assembly passed a law separating the State Security Service (Resor Drzavne Bezbednosti -- RDB) from the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) and transforming it into a new civilian controlled agency, the Security Intelligence Agency (Bezbednosno-Informativna Agencija -- BIA).
