Notes:
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen; I’m Major Steve Bishop from the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Battlelab. On behalf of Colonel John Ball, our commander, I thank you for the opportunity to participate in this panel with many distinguished servicemen who have indeed executed the duties of this great nation with extreme professionalism and selflessness.
It is fitting that I have the opportunity to present this brief overview of an Air Force Battlelab Initiative. Although it is not the end all solution, by any means, it does offer an opportunity to innovate and improve the support to our forces who are placed into harm’s way.
For those of you not familiar with AF Battlelab processes, we take ideas and turn them into initiatives designed for completion in 18 months or less. Afterwards we make recommendations up to the Air Force Requirements Oversight Council (AFROC) for implementation in less than 2 years.
Today I want to share the concept and status of our demonstration, background and then short discussion on applications in the urban environment.
