TCS Program Implementation
- Phase I (24 Months) Program Definition and Risk Reduction
following an incremental build approach that adds TCS
functions and capabilities toward multi-UAV control. Focus
on demonstrations to generate early user input and
assessments. MS II decision and Block 0 baseline design.
- Phase II (12 Months) Engineering and Manufacturing of 4
LRIP systems through systems design, test and integration
- Phase III Production, Fielding/Deployment, and Operational
- Key Performance Parameters
- Must be capable of supporting mission planning, mission execution, and data
dissemination for Tactical UAV and Medium Altitude Endurance UAV systems.
- Must be interoperable with selected C4I systems in compliance with ASD (C3I)
Joint Technical Architecture.
- Must allow operators to have simultaneous flight and payload control of at least
two air vehicles, beyond line of sight, using one TCS.
- Must be capable of being interoperable with different types of UAVs and UAV
payloads across the five levels of UAV interaction.
- Joint interoperable and scaleable command, control, communications, and data
dissemination systems for the family of tactical UAVs.
- Early operational assessments and joint CONOPS development through
participation in fleet exercises, advanced warfighting experiments, and technical
- Open architecture fully compliant with JTA, CIGSS, and DII COE
