• ATK awarded a $54M ACTD contract 2 May 96

• Program initial shortcomings:

- 1st flight delayed 5 months

- Heavy fuel engine project failed

- Weight increase

- Cost of program increased 80%

- AV required growth to improve performance

• Program turn around:

- Conversion to UEL AVGAS engine Nov 97

- Successful integration of Integrated Beacon Landing System (IBLS)

• Program remained behind schedule
