Notes:
It would be wrong to leave you with the impression that all interoperability problems have been solved. However, it is considered that the proposed solution to AGS interoperability has been evolved and tested to the point that it could be considered as a basis for any future NATO AGS capability and that some of the programme risk has been alleviated.
Although some initial work has been done in the area of integration of information derived from AGS data into the NATO C3 Infrastructure, it is important that efforts now be focused on this area.
Other areas of future work involve analyzing the data collected during PIE, perhaps supplemented by simulated data produced in the Agency’s AGS testbed, in order to quantify possible improvements in the performance when using more than one MTI asset to survey the same area. This effort would not only provide technical solutions but also lead to a further refinement of the CONOPS.
Mr Chairman, ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for your attention.
