UAV tracking

Complications:

• Low detectability – many track re-initiations necessary

• Very high, down to zero velocities.

• Excessive accelerations unrestrained by human physiology

=> plot association more difficult and UAV track models not available in current tracking algorithms

Advantage of friendly UAVs:

• Tracking done by communication link

• Autonomous mode operations position reporting

• Transponders
