ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. The 93rd Air Control Wing participates in its first exercise supporting the U.S. Armys Advanced Warfighting Experiment March 23-29, at Nellis AFB, Nev.
Called Spring Thunder, the exercise involves the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System generating combat support sorties as part of an Air Expeditionary Force. The 93rd ACW is sending 140 people and one E-8C aircraft. Joint STARS will provide battle management data for a brigade combat team in the Armys National Training Center. The wing will also practice its go-to-war plan while continuing to work on the units initial operational capability status.
