HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. (May 29, 1996) -- The battle managment center of the future will be explored when Fort Franklin V begins here Aug. 12.
The two-week exercise will again feature integrating information warfare into the Fort Franklin V scenario.
New this time will be a focus on controlling operations other than a war scenariio and deploying the Command and Control Unified Battlespace Environment facility, or CUBE, to Fort Franklin.
"We plan to deploy the CUBE and functionally represent a combined air operations center, generate air tasking orders and show its interoperability," said 1st Lt. Jason Dyer, a member of the Fort Franklin V planning team. "We will also be working with, and demonstrate, high technology items the military services may be using in the future."
