national security affairs, was provided by his office)



From 1984 to January 20, 1993, Mr. Fuerth served as Senior Legislative

Assistant for National Security to Senator Albert Gore, Jr.



Mr. Fuerth was born in New York City on April 11, 1939. He received a

Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1960.  He was granted a

Master of Arts degree from New York University in 1961 and a Masters of

Public Administration from Harvard University in 1975.  Mr. Fuerth served

as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force from 1962-1965 and

the United States Foreign Service in 1968-1979.  He worked as a

professional staff member of the House Permanent Select Committee on

Intelligence from 1979-1984.



Mr. Fuerth is married to the former Lynne Gittelson and has four daughters.

He resides in Falls Church, Virginia.
