Policy.

The official AFIC command motto is FREEDOM THROUGH VIGILANCE. The following policies govern the use and display of the motto:

It may be used by all AFIC organizations.

It will not be included in the AFIC emblem. Therefore, it will not be displayed on organizational flags or become an official part of the AFIC command emblem.

It will not be publicly displayed in a size or manner that would evoke undue interest in the command.

Specific Uses.

The command motto may be used for specific purposes that do not conflict with the instructions in paragraph 1 above. For example, it may be used on stationery, briefing slides, vugraphs, programs, posters, invitations, matchbooks, souvenirs, or other novelties if commercial advertising is not included. When used with the emblem, motto will be placed at the bottom of the emblem, beneath the scroll.
