315TH INTELLIGENCE SQUADRON


1. Mission. The 315th Intelligence Squadron (315 IS) conducts information operations to meet regional and national requirements to achieve information dominance in the Pacific theater. The 315 IS:

1.1. Provides scientific and technical intelligence to meet the requirements of tactical war fighters, theater battle managers, the National Air Intelligence Center (NAIC), the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC), national agencies and allies.

1.2. Provides tactical air and integrated air defense system analysis for tactical war fighters, theater battle managers, and the Air Staff.

2. Command. The 315 IS Commander (315 IS/CC):

2.1. Is responsible to the Commander, 692d Intelligence Group.

2.2. Exercises command and control (C2) over all personnel and resources assigned to the 315 IS.

2.3. Exercises C2 over subordinate operating location.

3. Responsibilities. The 315 IS:

3.1. Implements Air Intelligence Agency policies, plans, and directives.

3.2. Provides on-site HQ AIA assistance to 5th Air Force (5 AF).

3.3. Acquires tactical information relevant to 5 AF requirements.

3.4. Develops and implements command and control warfare operations, concepts, plans, and capabilities by teaming with 5 AF.

3.5. Teams with theater-numbered Air Forces, US Forces, Japan; Department of Defense Special Representative, Japan; and Cryptologic Support Group, Japan to achieve information dominance in the Pacific theater.

3.6. Charged with conducting the Pacific theater US Air Force Scientific and Technical Intelligence Mission and Far East Tactics Analysis Mission.

3.7. Satisfies the theater warfighter, sister service, allies, and national consumer information requirements with intelligence products and services.
