544TH INTELLIGENCE GROUP


1. Mission.

The 544th Intelligence Group (544 IG) is located at Peterson AFB Colorado. The group:

1.1. Manages and directs Air Force service cryptologic elements utilizing space systems to exploit the information domain. It conducts data collection to deliver timely, tailored space information products to combatants and decisions makers.

1.2. Delivers global, space-related information to national agencies and warfighting commands.

1.3. Provides policy, guidance, and functional assistance to assigned organizations.

1.4. Develops mission-based facilities, communications, and manpower requirements to improve quality of life.

2. Command.

The 544 IG is a subordinate unit to the Air Intelligence Agency (AIA), a field operating agency subordinate to the Director of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AF/XOI).

3. Responsibilities.

The 544 IG:

3.1. Teams with the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Space and Technology, Air Force Space Command, National Security Agency, and Naval Security Group Activity for space-related operations.

3.2. Provides AIA with a focal point for space-related operations in support of AIA involvement in worldwide space issues and postures, to better support national agencies.

3.3. Integrates data from multiple disciplines to support national requirements.
