  The SPEAKER pro tempore laid before the House the following 
communication from the Honorable Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader:

       Dear Speaker Boehner: Pursuant to Section 1002 of the 
     Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2003 (P.L. 
     107-306) as amended by section 701(a) (3) of the Intelligence 
     Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010, I am pleased to 
     appoint the following individuals to the National Commission 
     for the Review of the Research and Development Programs of 
     the U.S. Intelligence Community.
       The Honorable Rush D. Holt of New Jersey
       Ms. Samantha Ravich of Clark, New Jersey
       Ms. Ravich is appointed at the recommendation of Speaker 
     John Boehner to ensure there is an appropriate ratio of 
     Republican and Democratic appointees serving on the 
     commission.
