                              APPOINTMENT

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Chair, on behalf of the Republican leader, 
after consultation with chairman of the Select Committee on 
Intelligence, and pursuant to provisions of Public Law 107-306, as 
amended by Public Law 111-259, announces the appointment of the Senator 
from Indiana, Mr. Coats, to serve as a member of the National 
Commission for the Review of the Research and Development Programs of 
the United States Intelligence Community.
