  SA 3567. Mr. ROBERTS submitted an amendment intended to be proposed 
by him to the bill S. 2386, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 
2005 for intelligence and intelligence-related activities of the United 
States Government, the Intelligence Community Management Account, and 
the Central Intelligence Agency Retirement and Disability System, and 
for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

The referenced language on page 30 of S. 2386 is:

501. DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE EXEMPTION FROM CERTAIN PRIVACY ACT REQUIREMENTS.


      Section 552a(e)(3) of title 5, United States Code, shall not apply
with respect to the collection of information by intelligence
personnel of the Department of Defense who are authorized by the
Secretary of Defense to collect intelligence from human sources.
