Pensacola
Naval Security Group Activity

In the spring of 1986, a detachment was established to lay the foundation for what was to be the Naval Security Group's most extensive undertaking outside its traditional role. The Commander's vision of our changing world and a commitment to keeping Fleet and Shore Cryptologic Automated Information System capabilities technologically current, led to the commissioning of the Naval Security Group Activity Pensacola in July of 1993.

Naval Security Group Activity Pensacola serves as the center of excellence for Automated Information Systems (AIS) within the Naval Security Group. Naval Security Group Activity Pensacola's influence is far reaching as the provider of software evaluation and testing for a myriad of AIS systems, as well as the provision of a sole source life-cycle and on-call help desk supporting Fleet and Shore Commands utilizing these systems.
